My medium is fused glass, manipulated in a kiln.
I have been creating "something" since a child - staring with paper dolls. I was a fine jewelry designer for 22 years, I've made fiber art and love painting and have raised a wonderful family of four children. I've never stopped learning or challenging myself . . . but the mystery of glass was always calling me. I would linger in galleries at the glass displays staring at the inner fire, and always like a lover it called to me, seducing me with its brilliance.
Now the kiln and glass call me daily and, for me, one without the other won't do; the heat is needed to fuse the glass together as one. Sometimes I actually think I am doing the creating, but the heat has other ideas - and at temperatures between 1500 and 2000 degrees, heat forms it's own creation allowing me and my passion to be a partner, as the mystery take place again and again, never quite the same, but always with a beauty of it's own.
I hope that you will be able to find your inner beauty and passion as you enjoy the glass that surrounds you in this beautiful world.
My work can be seen in galleries across the nation.
