The beauty of canyons, rivers, jungles, and her beloved garden inspire Serena Supplee to interpret what nature creates.

A seasoned river runner; Serena travels waterways and roads armed with the tools of her trade until a setting fires her imagination. She settles in and paints, capturing the moment live.

Originally from Iowa, Serena earned her BFA at Northern Arizona University. She worked summers as a guide on the Colorado, Green, and San Juan Rivers and has run the Grand Canyon numerous times.

Serena enjoys working with watercolors, oils, and Japanese woodcut block prints. She has recently expanded her print selection by including the Gicleé print process. This makes it possible to produce a print of any of her paintings on the same watercolor paper she paints on.

Serena's work graces numerous private collections, including Phantom Ranch in the Inner Gorge of Grand Canyon National Park.

Serena's heart remains in the rivers, her head in the cottonwoods, canyons and skies, but she hears the distant call of the jungle through it all.
