Inspired by brilliant Utah artist David Maestas, I set out to create a watercolor effect by panning the camera and keeping its eye open a bit longer as I aimed at notable landscapes. I've tried this at the Bonneville Salt Flats, Antelope Island, in southern Utah's famed red rock country and elsewhere in the state. At home I apply a minimal amount of digital processing (no Photoshop filters) on the computer. Then I print on fine art paper and canvas using a large-format printer that ensures archival quality prints. The end result is something unique and beautiful - people swear they're looking at a watercolor painting. I'm extremely happy with the early results and hope to offer more similar art soon.
