If asked what her most growing experience as an artist was, Louise Seiler might recount the time she captured the essence of a pair of recently hooked brook trout - working quickly before death dulled their still shimmering surfaces. Or, discovering with water color, the magnificent shape of a resting guernsey, nearly hidden in a field of spring alfalfa.

Louise has surrounded herself with the inspiration for her work. She resides in rural Utah on a ranch with husband and son. There she has nurtured an impressive garden, replete with rabbit hutch and hen house, and all guarded by her Rottweiler and German Shepherd whom she has trained from puppyhood.

Louise currently displays her original watercolors, gourd art and ink studies in galleries in Moab and Salt Lake City. She also creates a line of note cards; for these, she borrows her ideas from desert environs surrounding her homestead in Southern Utah.

Louise lives her art, sensitive to the beauty of change. If asked what her artistic future may bring, she'd probably answer with a laugh and a shrug.
