
Her mother was a well recognized Utah artist and M'lisa has been drawing and painting for many years.
She attended the University of Utah and graduated with her BFA.
She remains connected to the art world by her family of artists, professors, and the friends she has made during her studies. In 2000, M'lisa was awarded first place in the Sanpete County Art Show and has had several one-man shows throughout the state of Utah. In 2002 she was awarded the purchase prize in the Desert News Landscape Competition.
She has been influenced by many types of art and techniques, but leans towards impressionism. She loves fresh color and uses it to create mood.
M'lisa is a devoted mother and grandmother and she has made lasting memories teaching her grandchildren about art and painting.
M'lisa currently has two homes she shares with her husband Craig Paulsen, one in Salt Lake and one in Spring City, Utah.
