Native Earth is the home based business of husband/wife team, Andreas & Lori Kalt.
Andreas has always had an interest in design and earned a BFA in industrial desgin from Brigam Young University in Provo, Utah. Lori has always enjoyed the arts though her formal training at Brigam Young University was in mathematics.
Andreas and lori combine their skills and knowledge to design and create earth-inspired home decor pieces. They call it "usable art." The pieces are crafted from stone floor tirles - slate, granite, marble, travertine, etc. intricate designs are cut into the hstone using high-pressure water.
In their spare time Andreas and lori enjoy running, snow skiing and spending time with their three boys and baby girl. Andreas also has a "day" job in the water jetting industry. Lori's "day" job is doing dishes, folding laudry and grocery shopping.
