Bill Jackman is a Utah native who specializes in unique handmade heirloom quality writing instruments and other small turnings. As a pen and fountain pen aficionado he was naturally drawn to the art of penturning in 2002 his work was judged and accepted into the “Penturner’s Guild”, an elite group of pencrafters dedicated to advancing the art of pencrafting by individual artisans in 2004.

Bill’s preferred material is wood, but occasionally will also work with various manmade materials. He attempts to bring out the unique and natural beauty of each piece whether working with rare exotics or more common domestic woods. To him a pen is more than just a disposable consumable, but rather an expression of personal style and beauty meant only to grow with years of use and familiarity. An heirloom with the possibly to be enjoyed by multiple generations.

Bill lives in Murray Utah with his wife and three daughters, who act as his final quality control, scrutinizing each finished piece before he allows it to be presented to others.
