Like two generations of widely recognized Utah artists before her, Kathryn Gehrke has developed an independent style focusing primarily on landscapes, portraiture and still lifes. Her preferred medium is watercolor, though she enjoys pen and ink, pastels, acrylics and pencil.

She is passionate about her painting and regularly studies new methods and techniques to help her develop and more effectively communicate this passion through her art.

Most recently, her paintings have been exhibited in various galleries in Salt Lake County. She has also participated in many shows as a member of the Utah Watercolor Society. She is presently on the board of the Utah Watercolor Society and is also a member of the Intermountain Society of Artists.

Born in Utah county, Kathryn is married and lives with her husband in the Salt Lake area.
