Peter Dustrud is a painter and photographer who lives and works in the southwest , currently near Moab, Utah.
He is a devotee of the plein air tradition of landscape painting, and that leads him to various locations in search of nicely lit countryside.
Dustrud has an academic background in the arts, but is essentially self-taught in oil painting. In addition to pursuing painting, Dustrud is also a photographer and photojournalist, having worked freelance for years and for several publications and small town newspapers in the west.
Dustrud's work is at his studio and works are also at Utah Hands Gallery in Salt Lake City, Utah. He also shows locally at the Desert Bistro, Moab, and elsewhere.
