I have been "into" art since my first finger-painting experience. Throughout my entire life I have had clever little art projects going on consisting of mud pies and cardboard space rockets.

I got into the field of pottery in 1998 in a ceramics class at Bountiful High School. I really loved getting into the clay, and found that my favorite form of pottery was hand-building, using coil and pinching techniques. None of my work is wheel-thrown; this allows me to spend more time with each individual piece of work. I carve and decorate my stories and experiences onto my pottery. I use nature, daydreams, and literature as my forms of inspiration.

I get really attached to my work because of the time that I put into each piece, but I am slowly learning to share my work with others. In 200l I started my own ceramic studio, Potluck. My business is small, but my nature is simple so I am content at the moment.

I usually sell my pottery at street festivals around the Salt Lake City area. I had my very first exhibition of pottery in April 2002 at the Union Station Gallery in Ogden.

My pottery is my passion and I do it during my free time. Ha!

I am very interested in getting my work out into the world, but I don't want to exploit it. I enjoy going to small festivals and talking with different people about my art. While I have learned to open my art and myself to the world, I have also learned that the world can offer me beauty and encouragement that helps me keep going and keep creating.
