Kate Birch lives in Salt Lake City with her husband Bryan, three kids, two dogs, cat, turtle and bunny, Mrs. Thumper. Kate studied painting and drawing at the University of Utah were she graduated with a BFA in 2005.

She has shown her work in numerous venues including the Marriott Library, the Deseret News Landscape Show, the Sundance Harvest Festival, the Salt Lake Farmer’s Market, various galleries, and and many private art shows.

This fall Kate’s paintings will be represented by poem’s publishing company and featured in their fall catalogue.

Kate’s landscapes are based on the rich farmlands of Utah’s Heber Valley and emphasize the simple geometry and bold colors of the Utah landscape.
