Rob BennettRob Bennet Portfolio

Rob Bennett Rob has been an aerial photographer for the mapping profession for several years. taking rigid pre-planned vertical images for the sole purpose of producing precise topographic maps. During the last couple of years, he has expanded his efforts into capturing scenic aerial images with a more artistic, informal result.

Rob flies in a Cessna 206 that has a high resolution Swiss RC-10 survey camera mounted in the lower fuselage of the aircraft. This camera weighs 400 lbs. and exposes a negative that is 9" x 9". The pilot and owner of the aircraft is Wes Brush of Reno, Nevada. Together, the must bank the plane and counter-rotate the camera to achieve the desired exposure, while traveling at 120 mph.

Rob is hoping to add to his collection of aerial photographs the Wind River and the Sawtooth Mountains, as well as the Four Corners area.

During his leisure time, Rob enjoys hiking, camping, biking and skiing with his two dogs Nikki a Lab/Shepard mix and Frosty a Great Pyrenees.
