We listen to the voice of the trees while turning & sculpting heirloom wooden vessels. Each piece of art is created from native Utah hardwoods that are rescued from the landfill. The figure and texture of the wood inspire Kurt to tell its story in his turnings while Melody contributes by carving, turquoise inlay and marbling.

Marbling is a method of floating paint on a thickened liquid and immersing the wood so the pattern wraps itself around the vessel. Ancient marblers were very secretive about sharing their knowledge of this art. Marbling has remained a mysterious process until fairly recently.

Our wooden vessels are utilitarian and have been coated with a food safe tung oil finish. Clean with mild soap and warm water, rinse and dry.

We are truly honored and impassioned by our art and wish to share the pleasure we have received in the unwrapping of these gifts from nature. When you acquire and use one of our art pieces you are also part of the process in extending the Spirit and Soul of these magnificent trees.
